Assembly systems for inserting cylinder liners into cylinder bores are configured by AMT for the following processes:
Insertion Process at Room Temperature
- Cylinder liners are brought to the machine on pallets
- Gantry loader grabs the bushings and guides them into the cylinder bores
- Bushings are pressed to depth at a pressing station
Heating of Engine Block; Tempering of Cylinder Liners
- Engine blocks are heated in an oven to approx. 200 degrees
- Warmed engine block is transferred to the insertion station
- Robot supplies cylinder lines to the insertion station
- Cylinder liners are aligned and pressed into the defined cylinder bores at the insertion station
- The results of the insertion process are monitored at a later inspection station
