Con rods are primarily delivered as bulk goods in containers. Before these con rods can be introduced into the machining line, the following tasks must be accomplished:
- Separation and/or straightening of the bulk goods
- Establishment of a defined position for the con rod (large or pin bore to the front)
- Rotation of the con rod to the correct side
- Type monitoring with rejection of incorrect types
- Engraving with laser, inkjet printer, or needle embosser
- Measuring the con rod
- Weighing the con rod
AMT has experience in executing all of these functions for loading part blanks, some even with cycle times of only 3.5 seconds.
